Matot 2 – Moshe and The Land of Israel

Two events are the major focus here. One: Moses, whose consciousness has been absorbed completely in the nation, is ready to leave this world after the war with Midian. Two: The tribes of Reuven and Gad request to settle on the east side of the Jordan River, which brings up a major question about the nature of the Promised Land.

Rabbi Aaron received Semicha from the Israel Torah Research Institute, Yeshivat Itri, and is a disciple of the distinguished Dayan Rav Shlomo Fischer, Shlita.

He lives in Jerusalem with his wife, Chana, and their seven children.
